about Woodgate Beach

Woodgate Beach is a sleepy coastal township, bordered by the Burrum Coast National Park in Queensland.  The pristine beach is 16 kilometres long and is protected from the ocean swell by Fraser Island.  Woodgate Beach forms the Northern End of Hervey Bay and is 350 kilometres North of Brisbane.

The pristine, sandy beach is perfect for swimming, fishing  and an abundance of watersports.  A number of access points are available for boats along the beach front and it is only a short drive to the Burrum River or Theodolite Creek.  A great alternative on windy days.

A paved walkway, shaded by she-oaks, extends for 6.5 kilometres along the beachfront and is ideal for walking, jogging and biking.  A delight for birdwatchers, Woodgate Beach is also home to many native animals, including kangaroos, which are often seen grazing in the town.

The perfect holiday destination for those wanting tranquility and relaxation!
